The story behind the design...

Kara and Dave designed their own custom tableware after visiting Lockeland Table in East Nashville.  They visited our studio and viewed many possibilities.  The couple truly have an eye for color and design and selected a toasty warm speckled stoneware as the base for their pieces.  They also selected a milk white satin glaze and to highlight the set--a deep indigo blue.  Some of the pieces include a stripe of indigo and all are rimmed in clear glaze to show the clay body.

 

As we discussed their place settings, they decided each piece in terms of shape, size, color, and accents.  The pieces for this unique table setting are handcrafted and hand built with slight imperfections so that no two pieces are exactly the same.  The organic shape adds interest and an "R" is stamped on each one to personalize the set.  Kara and Dave's tableware is unique, individual, and one of a kind!

Ordering...

Pieces may be ordered individually or as a complete place setting of four pieces.  Serving ware is also available to complete the registry.  The couple has requested that items ordered be held at the studio for local pick up by Kara and Dave.  No shipping charges will be applied to orders due to the local pickup.
